the Daylight Special travels through Flathead Tunnel and
Idaho’s Panhandle to Spokane, WA. Then SP449 crests
Providence Hill and steams along the scenic Columbia River to Brooklyn
Roundhouse in Portland, Oregon.

Montana! Running commentary by SP4449 Fireman Pat Tracy explains what
it takes to keep the massive steam locomotive running on a
transcontinental mainline. The undulating profile provides lots of
action as Engineer Bill Stetler and Fireman Justin Tracy respond to the
track profile, meet freight traffic, and blow for small town crossings
as they race across North Central Montana.
